Weekly Musings of the 6th

So another week flew by and yes on Sunday the tree went up.  Tigger was a super happy girl to see it back again.

Great news is that DD the 1st did get the job at the Superstore, part time and it is perfect for her to keep her busy while getting settled into life.  DD deals with depression and anxiety every day and I am proud how hard she works to deal with these crosses of life.  A part time job will help a lot.

Took a final morning walk early in the week as the snow came and ice with it.  Not a lot of snow here at all but enough to not trust the sidewalks and so I take to the stairs.

Certainly not as pretty nor very long, only about 10 minutes tops but it is tough and it will do until the temperatures get above 0 next week.  I read that it will be an average of +5C by Wednesday so hopefully I will be outside again.

That was a Monday drive and you can see in the distance the line of clouds on Lake Erie, snow clouds at this time and it sure snowed all around us.  We only had a light amount but around us they got a good dumping of the white stuff.

Of course on the snowiest day that was when hubby had a doctor's appointment and so there were a few white-outs to drive through as snow blew across the fields.  The appointment were for a couple of concerns we had and now of course there will be other appointments and things to be done but things look not too bad at this point better than it could.

That advise helped me most of my life - LOL.  Have a great weekend!

  1. Totally get going for the stairs when you don't trust the footing outdoors! I've been known to pace inside the house, even with the puppy!

    1. Yup, just not too brave about walking outside in winter. Too many sneaky patches of ice. Thanks for stopping by.

  2. Pretty tree! Very festive.
Congratulations to DD on the new job. Starting over is not an easy task for any of us.
Last Saturday the weather people predicted a "dusting" of snow. We got over 6 inches. The wind caused large drifts. I am now officially ready for spring.
The meme reminds of the story about the bird that decided not to fly south for the winter. I'll look and see if I can find it. I think it's one you would like.
Stay safe. Stay warm. Have a great weekend.

  3. That's wonderful news about your daughter getting the job! It's great that she's finding ways to stay busy and manage her challenges. And it's always inspiring to see someone work hard to overcome adversity.

It's a shame about the weather, but it sounds like you're making the most of it with your indoor workouts. Hopefully, the warmer temperatures will arrive soon, and you'll be able to get back outside.

Wishing you all the best for the upcoming week! (((BIG HUGS)))

    1. DD says thank you. It is and I have had a bit of dizzyness so haven't been able to do the stairs either. Hopefully soon.
