Weekly Musings of the 9th

Hi Ho, my family and friends.  Busy week of getting use to the hearing aids and a few other things so here goes.  The picture is from the parking lot at our family doctor (although my BIL, when I put the pictures on Facebook, told me to stop going to the vet - hubby and I both laughed so hard)  The deer park backs onto the doctor's office.

Monday was our 4th anniversary of our sacramental marriage.  We are so happy we could do that, that we celebrate this second anniversary.  Not with gifts, of course, because we honestly don't need gifts but we do have cake - LOL.  DD was back to work after her time spent in London.  Nothing firm yet on that front but we know it will happen when it should.

I got a hold of my doctor to make an appointment to clear out the ears as the specialist said there was some but that was something she could not do for me but suggested I see my doctor.  I got the appointment really quick and that was when I saw all the deer on Wednesday.

It took no time at all to both see the doctor and get everything all cleared up.  That made getting use to the hearing aids much easier.

The hearing aids are really the best!  Honest.  They are so small that people actually cannot see them when they are talking with me.  There is an app. on my phone that I can control volume and settings if I am listening to music while walking.  It is great that I no longer need any headphones to listen to music while walking.  The only thing that I have to change is my hair length.  I have my hair to my shoulders and it is not all that great rubbing from time to time on the aids.  I was thinking of getting back to short hair and this just made it a good reason to do so.  My appointment for that is next week.

Things that I wondered about when it came to setting and things that I was hearing worked out and made sense as time went on and I am really use to them now and of course, wonder why I didn't do it earlier.

Yesterday, drove DD to meet up with her boyfriend in London.  They will be apartment hunting this weekend and I do hope they find something that is just perfect for them.  DD's work here is actually really trying to help her find a transfer job there so she can be working right away.  I am hoping that works out well too.

Back to enjoying my cozy mysteries once more.  I took a break during Lent reading non-fiction during that time, which I do enjoy too but now it is getting near time to be able to sit on the balcony and enjoy a good cozy mystery.  Heavy reading just isn't summer reading to my mind.

Since a lot of my focus has been limiting my sweets and getting use to my hearing aids this funny really tickled my funny bone.

Have a wonderful weekend all.

  1. Congratulations on the anniversary. Cake sounds like a "gift" to me. 😉
What a blessing that you adjusted to the hearing aids with no problems.
Good luck to DD with the apartment search. A job transfer for her would definitely be a plus.
It sounds like you have the perfect spot to enjoy reading.
    Have a wonderful weekend! 🤗💖

    1. Me too, I do love cake. Yes, this morning I added the bonus item to the tv. I have yet to figure out if it is working right but I did get it hooked up finally. Yup, the balcony is a favourite, now if the weather would just cooperate without the up and down temperature. Thanks for stopping by.
