Well, busy week for us. On Monday I went on the Endy website to order a new mattress for hubby. The one in the former guest room was useless for his back and it was getting worse. The mattress arrived on Wednesday and in it's box it made hubby keep asking if I was sure I ordered a queen-size, and I knew I did and the box said so. It was pretty impressive as when you take it out of the box, it is folded in half and then you cut the sealed wrapping and the mattress slowly fills out to it's full size and it was perfect, nice and firm too. So far hubby has been sleeping well on it (except when the heat bothers him but that is different)
I have decided that come the spring time next year I shall get the same mattress for me. The offer that came with this mattress was all new bedding which was really perfect, two pillows that were great replacements, mattress liner, sheets and a duvet. The duvet we don't really need but we shall store it until we figure what to do with it. Donations are always best. The only down side with Endy is that they do not take your old mattress away and so that will have to be arranged, especially mine as it is one of those really, really heavy ones.
So, little by little we are fixing up those things that are no longer comfortable or workable for us anymore.
After some great nights of sleep though, the humidity came back.
This morning's walk was pretty tough and such a change from being able to sleep with the windows open to closed windows and fans to move the warm air. Yesterday I had the fun of catching up with my high school best friend. We keep it touch by text most days but love to have lunch together at least once a month. Downside of it was our usual restaurant had no AC which yesterday was not nice at all. I think I am going to look at the other restaurants in Waterford for an alternate when it is this hot out. Still it was great to sit and catch up with all our families and news and such and the time flew by.
We did transfer our prescriptions from Shopper's to Superstore especially when we
went Friday to check on the status and they said they didn't have the doctor's order and would get it done for Monday. I told them they should have gotten it Wednesday but she was positive they didn't. Funny thing is we got notice it was ready for pick up on Saturday and we know our doctor not in the office on Friday and so how did they get it and get it ready for Saturday? I think they dropped the ball again. As well, they had put in for the second prescription to be ready with the missing one and of course after we were home about 10 minutes on Sunday after picking up the first prescription the second prescription notice that it was ready came in. Tuesday we made the transfer. Besides we are at the Superstore once a week so it is easier to pick up stuff there.
Going to take a break from my books this week and finish up as there are a couple of errands today that must be done before the buses of workers come to town to do their shopping. That is just too many people for me.
Have a lovely weekend!
The Dr. Seuss character speaks for many of us.
