Good Morning my friends! At least I am sliding in late but it is still morning. That is not to say that I haven't been busy it really has but not my usual start to the day but back to that later.
For gratitude, I am so very grateful that I am finally finished with all of Mom's paperwork after her death and it only took two years to do it. I just got the last of the correspondence from her lawyer and we are now finished. I thanked the nice lady who talked me through everything including handling the people involved. If it wasn't for her listening I don't think I would have made it through.
The week went pretty smooth, as life kinda does from time to time. We got the groceries on Monday since Tuesday was Remembrance Day and with some people off and other things happening we just didn't want to bother with the stores. On Remembrance Day we watched the CBC coverage from Ottawa which is the national one which gives us memories of being back in Ottawa and the most moving ceremony and interviews.
Wednesday I called the ND's office to pick up the papers to have all the bloodwork done the next day. I was determined to get it done today. Thursday we did a few errands including picking up those papers. I had a chat with the doctor as well as his receptionist which was nice to chat with both about everything.
So, today was the plan day. First off was to wake my usual time and have my morning walk. Once I did that, I got cleaned up right away and got ready to go. I couldn't get a first thing in the morning kind of appointment so I decided to do what I usually do - go it and wait until it was done. I got to the Lab at about quarter after 8 with 2 books loaded on my phone just in case and happy I did. The general wait on the board was 34 minutes, doable. As I sat down the time got longer as those that must have made their appointment months ago were arriving too. At twenty to 10 I was called into the room.
Funny thing is that I am always, always in the first room every single time I have gone. Wish lottery tickets were as good at payoff. This time there would be a lot of containers filled - 10 in fact. There were lots to be run with these. By 10 I was finally on my way home, ready for breakfast and my morning routine and tea. The first thing to do was to wish our youngest grandson Happy Birthday!
He turned 2 today! Happy Birthday sweetie!
Now I can relax now that I got the bloodwork done. I am not a fan of having stuff hanging over my head and as well I really want to know what the Naturopathic doctor could do to help me manage things going on without having to take new prescriptions that play havoc on one's body no matter what. We will have another appointment once he gets the results and a chance to go over everything.
Grey Cup coming up on Sunday and looking forward to that after a quiet time now.
Saw this in one of my favourite sites and it just tickled my funny bone.
Have a wonderful weekend!
