Weekly Musings of the 21st and Daily Gratitude - Day 40

I know the picture is a little blurry and I am judging a little but I think that tiny front lawn has too many blow-ups for Christmas.  Now it could be that people living there each picked out their favourite to put up but then again the house is too small to hold that many people so all of those blow-ups in one yard is  over-doing it.  Of course, I am a bit old-fashioned in wanting lights and perhaps one blow-up not twenty.

The week started with my least favourite thing to do an appointment with my bank to go over RRSP stuff.  I was so fed up with the whole thing I was willing to pay taxes on it and just put anything in savings.  I really felt for the poor girl who was only trying to help and I did come around eventually realizing that not only did I sound like an old grump but I was not listening to what would be the smart thing to do.  I did apologize to her as we finished up and then I went on my way sorry that I probably did the very thing that bugs younger people about senior people.  Well, lesson learned at least.

Lots of reading this week too, after enjoying the latest of the Miss Fortune Mysteries I decided to re-read the series once more and

lose myself in the small town of Sinful.  Which was probably a good thing as I waited for appointments to start.  The next one was for my hearing aids to get updated, checked out and deal with a bit of feed-back I was getting.  I do like the people there so I was less of a grump, thank goodness - LOL.  I really don't want to follow in Giles granny's footsteps (from British comics)

Although some days I feel like her but I just can't find the outfit - LOL.

Today I am heading back to the hearing place because the tweek for the feed-back problem is not working but they have another thing they can try.  Hopefully that will be the one.  It doesn't happen every time but enough times to be annoying.

But for gratitude and I don't think I have said it before, and if I did then it just shows that I am really, really grateful for how far hearing aids have come and how well they now work and how they have an app on your phone.  How great is that.

And hubby has seen 5/5/55 too

One Giles too - I grew up reading these as Gran would send them from England for my parents but I loved the detail in them.  This one is a bit simple but I would still look at each one carefully because most times there was something funny drawn in the background.  Even though Giles has long past his comics come out as a collection each year and I get them from Amazon so pretty pleased to read them once more and a few of them I remember from when I was a kid.  So, if I repeated myself about my hearing aids I am grateful for being able to re-read the Giles comics still.

Have a lovely weekend.
