I don't care if the media goes on and on about how wonderful soccer is, I find it boring and the players over dramatic. I mean come on, you fell down, get up and stop pretending that you are deathly injured.
Anyway, after clearing out all my photos and making sure all of them are labeled with names (lesson learned from grandparents and parents who didn't put names on any photos) I was looking at my Pinterest account. How on earth did I manage to make over 20 board (some kind of the same) with nearly 10,000 pins saved, which since there are so many I no longer look through. Time to get clearing that out.
As I looked through and thought about it, I do use Pinterest nearly every day for different things but I always do a search on the homepage. I rarely look in the folders that I already have so why on earth am I keeping them all there.
By the time I am through there will be a lot less saved on various boards. Less boards too ;)
Anyway, this week has been some reading, some gaming and some purging with some errands including getting my hair trimmed once more. Hubby has a summer cold so that kept things pretty quiet.
Hope you had a lovely week. This weekend we are celebrating 13 years since I retired and we moved to Simcoe.
I made this collection a year after we moved in and one more three years later and those of you who have kept up with the blog know that through purges and other things the place has changed completely again since this last video
Have a lovely weekend and week ahead and see you in July :D

Amazing videos... that took planning and editing to get the time lapse just so! Well done.
ReplyDeleteI've been thinking lately about how life is lived in chapters. As I get older and marvel at how full my son's and his wife's and FGC's lives are, I wonder how I ever had the energy to get through son's youth! But we do what we have to do as we have to do it, right?
Hope you have a peaceful week ahead, my friend! Oh, and the birdie I mention in today's blog is home with a couple of prescriptions and FGC is helping administer the meds... I feel so good about this youngster learning kindness to animals and to people by my son and his wife.

That is good to hear about the bird. I just read your blog and was wondering. I like that thought of chapters, some have many with many changes like my DD some of us have less chapters but they are much longer. And thank you, the old computer was pretty good at creating those videos, haven't check out whether this one does but maybe after purges I will look into that. Have a lovely week.
DeleteYour photo project sounds like a massive undertaking, but you are going to be so glad you did it. It is the worst looking at old family pictures and having absolutely no clue who the people are, so you are doing a huge favor for everyone down the road. The Pinterest rabbit hole is so real, too. We all accumulate thousands of pins in these hyper-specific boards and then just use the search bar anyway. Cleaning that clutter out must feel amazing.
ReplyDeleteIt sounds like a nice, productive week despite having to nurse a summer cold in the house. Happy thirteen-year anniversary of your retirement and move to Simcoe. It is wild how a place can completely transform over the years through different purges and projects, but that is the best part of making a home truly yours.(((BIG HUGS)))
Oh, it is feeling so good to have those photos cleared out, after all if my sister and I don't know who they are, then there is no sense keeping them. I labeled all the ones left so that is great. I am happy to hear I am not the only one who falls down that rabbit hole - LOL. It is true I always end up doing a search because it is faster. Thank you for those wishes too my friend. Have a lovely week.
