Was a fairly busy week with a dentist appointment for me to get to and driving DD to her job this week. On the 21st she is going to London to house sit and job hunt as well as apartment hunt although the job must come first. She is taking her kitty and they are staying about 10 days. I really am keeping my fingers crossed that the job hunt works out really well because of course here in our little town there is not much going on when it comes to jobs. At least, not full time.
Sunday was the 5th Sunday in Lent where the focus is on Joy and the colour changes from purple to rose. When I see that I always think of this cartoon.
I did finally make an appointment to have my hearing checked. I have been putting it off but finally felt it was time to deal with it all. After all I think helping yourself to hear is more a great help for those you love than for yourself. Yourself can pretend it isn't a big deal or that it doesn't bother you so much but your loved ones are not sure if you are hearing them or if you need the TV that loud. It will be on the 21st and we shall see where I stand and what can be done. Bet a lot more than I think can be done because these things have improved so much since the early days.
Weather has been a combo week but the morning walks were great except Monday when there was snow and ice on the ground. I won't walk on that but then again a missed day here and there is not a big deal.
Have a great week!
That weather prediction is soooo true. Put your hand out the window. If it's wet, it's raining. If it's white, probably snowing. Sunburned, the sky is clear. I think I can do a job like that! 🤣🤣
ReplyDeleteMe too, it sure has been an up and down week for the weather. Have a great day!
DeleteHow much of life hinges on having a job that can support yourself! Best wishes for your DD's search in London. Close enough to visit, far enough away to feel independent? And you remind me that I've been dragging my feet on the hearing testing... I'm about two years overdue.
ReplyDeleteThank you, yes, she will be close enough to visit and far enough to not drive each other nuts - LOL. I, actually, have never gone for a hearing test. This will be my first one and it is long overdue. Have a great day.
DeleteIt sounds like you've had a full week! It's lovely to picture Hubby and Tigger helping with the toy hunt. Wishing DD all the best with her move to London - fingers crossed for her job and apartment search! It's good you're taking care of yourself with the hearing appointment too. And those morning walks sound nice, even with the Monday snow!
ReplyDeleteEnjoy your weekend! (((BIG HUGS)))
Thank you and yup lots of fingers crossed and prayers too. It is long overdue that I have ever had a hearing test and I know I need it. The walks sure have been a blessings. Thanks for stopping by.
