Weekly Musings of the 4th

Well, this took a bit longer because as I looked for an April picture in my folders I found some funny ones too and ended up driving hubby and DD nuts with saying... oh, just one more as they were trying to get their coffees.  LOL, well I can't help wanting to share laugh.  Which I will do here too, of course.

Here we are in April and of course the beginning of it had snow, freezing rain and rain.  Here in our little pocket of Simcoe, we had the snow and freezing rain for less than 30 minutes and then it was rain and before I had to go pick up DD from work any ice that might have been on the ground was gone.  Morning walks were still good as it was never raining at that time of the morning.

And DD the 1st has decided that she is moving back to London and she is hoping before her birthday (June) because although she likes Simcoe well enough and her job here (although it is only part time) she needs the city.  Public transportation for someone who doesn't drive is a necessity as well there really are not a lot of jobs available in a smaller town.  I mean I do drive her wherever she wishes to go but seriously who wants their mother driving them when they are in their 40s.  We get that and are keeping our fingers crossed for a great full time job and nice apartment coming through as quickly as possible.

I think that although we are all fine being together all of us would like our old routines back.

Moms that are over 60 too, for the message on the right - LOL

Anywho, I have been driving Herself halfway to London and her friend picks her up for the rest of the trip, for which I am very grateful as the full drive to London is not a favourite thing to do.

Now I better get a move on because I will be driving Herself shortly to that halfway point.

Have a great day and weekend.

Almost time for garage sales as people are trying to purge stuff once more.  I am not a garage sale kind of person, but I do love a good purge - LOL.

  1. Good luck to DD and her search for an apartment and a job.
Love the grandma meme. Mostly true for me. ☺️
Those were the days...as the song goes. Ahh to be young and foolish.

  2. Totally get you getting sidetracked by those funny pictures – sharing a laugh is the best! Sounds like your morning started with a classic unpredictable April mix of weather. Glad your walks stayed dry though!

Big news about DD the 1st! It makes total sense that she's craving the city life and the independence that comes with good public transport and more job opportunities. You're a super supportive mom for driving her around, but you're absolutely right, a 40-something probably prefers to navigate on their own! Fingers crossed right along with you for that perfect job and apartment to pop up quickly. It'll be nice for everyone to settle back into their own rhythms, for sure.

And yes, those "moms over 60" messages can be a hoot! Good on you for splitting the London drive – that sounds like a great compromise.

Have a fantastic day and weekend yourself! Safe travels on that halfway drive! (((BIG HUGS)))
