Wow, what a busy week we have had. Sure kept us on our toes. First off after DD got settled back in London we started a Spring Cleaning and making the DD's room back into our guest room once more. As you can see once we put Tigger's litter box and her stuff in the guest room she claimed it back as her own.
This week we managed four areas in the cleaning area although today we decided to take a break and catch up on other things.
We finished the guest room.
We did some rearranging too. We then moved onto our Bathroom which needed a good wall wash.
And didn't have windows that needed washing - LOL. Hubby does such a great job washing the windows inside and out on the 3rd floor that other people want him to do theirs. He use to say yes but doing ours now is enough for him.
Onto our room and after hubby moved back his end table and traded the dressers he moved for DD to use it was time to spread things out like winter coats back to the guest room for the season.
Once these three areas were complete with the carpets washed as well it was time to straighten out and add to the storage closets. These ones didn't need any kind of purging this time but they sure needed putting things back as they should be.
Livingroom, diningroom and kitchen will be be the next challenge but next week. We sure have gotten enough done this week in the cleaning department.
I, then on Thursday got to head over to Waterford to have lunch with my oldest and dearest friend. She and I have been friends since high school and it was certainly time for catching up together.
We meet in Waterford because it is nearly halfway for each of us and the Gibbled Goose is such a great place to eat.
After we parted ways I did make a quick stop at Waterford Girl for my favourite soaps and candles. I can't resist stopping there whenever I am in Waterford.
When I got back I found hubby had another crap thing from Facebook and as I, too, looked it over it seemed for some reason Facebook had locked his account for suspicious activity. After recovering from a hack before it didn't take much for him to say enough. Facebook wanted him to jump through all kinds of hoops and appeal to them about locking him out. He said at that moment he was done with it all and if anyone wants him they can text him.
After a lot of thinking about it (I have been on Facebook since 2008) I have decided I am sick of the hacking, the friend suggestions and all the ads and group suggestions. So after taking the time to remove my pictures and such I am going to leave Facebook too. I have Discord that has a family group that I can keep up with my Florida family, this wonderful blog that I can reach out with as well as people can text or email me too. Discord and texting can replace Messenger and if I really think about it not too much is on Facebook anymore. Friends really don't post there much and most of those is just a share from something else. There is no news feeds anymore for our country so why am I there. There certainly are other platforms if I feel the need to reach out more but enough is enough.
So, with all the back and forth on the computer and cleaning I thought I would get to blogging and take a rest. My head spins with all what I want to do and should do. Going to take the time to video chat with my sister about it all this afternoon. With all the mess that had to be cleaned and repaired at her home I feel a little humbled with complaining about work here. She has huge stuff to get done.
Yeah, I don't have to deal with the damage and cost of repairs after a hurricane so we are really good here with just Facebook drama and Spring Cleaning.
In books I read one of those books that just stick with you long after you close the last page and are really tempted to read it again right away.
This author is so good and how she expands the story is nothing short of amazing.
"The first time she opens her eyes, Eve gazes on One whose beauty nearly blinds her, whose breath is in her lungs. Her Creator takes her hand and gives her to one like her and yet different. Together, she and Adam experience pure joy as they explore Eden. But her favorite moments are when the Creator comes to walk with them, day after day.
Until everything changes. With one act of disobedience, Eve finds that her world is no longer a friendly place. With remorse in her heart, she must face the unknown future--the births, the deaths, the sacrifices, the loss of the one home she has ever known. Perhaps worst of all is the loss of trust, not only with her Creator but with the man who shares her life. How will they ever survive out of Eden?
Bestselling biblical fiction author Jill Eileen Smith imagines the life of the first woman to ever live, unspooling a story of love, loss, and the promise of redemption."
This was a complete 5 star book in my opinion and I have really fallen in love with this author and the amazing way she tells a story. Highly recommended.
Anyway, that was our week and I wish you all a great weekend.
Another one that struck me as funny -
Maybe for my front door - ROTFL
