I am grateful that one of my favourite authors has been able to write again. Just a bit over a year ago she lost her husband so suddenly that it took her breath away and she step away from writing. I understood that as I read the note on her Facebook page the events took my breath away too. I was completely prepared that book 28 was the very last book that I would read of my favourite characters. On Monday I saw the first Facebook post in over a year that book 29 had been released, of course I picked it up right away.
"Snitches get stitches.
Mimi Clark was never going to win the most popular student award. The prolific tattletale seemed to cruise through university life, seeking out rule-breakers so she could bring their sins to the dean’s attention. She probably never thought she’d be murdered for her favorite pastime. Detective Casey certainly didn’t think her daughter, Audrey, would become the prime suspect.
With Casey sidelined from the investigation and feeling helpless to protect Audrey, she hires Swamp Team 3 to investigate, but the case has enough suspects to fill a stadium. Fortune has to sort them out quickly and find a killer before the ADA makes a move that could ruin Audrey’s bright future."I am grateful that Jana DeLeon has picked up the pen (so to speak) again and that I can enjoy this fun cozy mystery series once more.

Ooh! Clapping my hands for you! Life is good when your favorite writers come out with something new.
ReplyDeleteI went to the library today and brought home one of the crossover novels that Dick Francis co-wrote with his son Felix. Felix is still writing today, although Dick Francis has passed on. Hoping the family talent has been passed along.
Keeping my fingers crossed for you and the author. It was a fun read as always.
