Actually didn't even make a resolution - LOL. Gave them up for Lent years ago - ROTFL Here we are the end of the first full week of 2026.
We walked to and from church on Sunday as we were Spark-less but hopeful. Monday afternoon we got the call that Sparky was all fixed and ready to go. Hubby got picked up and brought the car home. Repairs were a bit higher than our usual but there were new tires involved and new parts too so it wasn't that bad.
I was just happy to take the car to get groceries once more and it was a bit higher than usual because I postponed a lot of things just because I didn't want to carry that stuff home.
Although I don't make resolutions I do try to do what my doctor suggested as in avoiding dairy, egg and gluten which I am noticing the difference when I manage to not eat those things and when the little temper-tantrum kid inside me wins and I do. Don't eat those things - no gas, no heartburn - do eat them - gas and heartburn. Not really that hard to figure out but that little two-year old in me keeps yelling it wants to eat what it wants when it wants. Depending on who is driving this vehicle is what is gotten when out for groceries. Tuesday the grown up was driving and things were good. Wednesday after getting my hair cut the two year old was driving and it was not a pretty sight at all!
Hubby is still fighting off a cold which of course can be a challenge when you want to get stuff done. As for walks, when the ground is clear I walk, if it is icy I stay home. Plenty of time for daily walks during the year. After all winter is the only season that is hit or miss. The other three seasons can only keep you in if there is a thunderstorm and then only for the length of the storm.
So, quiet but nice week as always.
Have a lovely weekend.

I am so glad Sparky is home! I understand the walks and seasons. Mine tapers off in the summer because Florida is sticky and really quite buggy and nasty. This is our time for walks, stargazing and DH playing in a touring band. I still have a resolution, which is always the same - be healthy. My New Years motto is I am only responsible for me (my kids are full grown)
ReplyDeleteMe too for both the be healthy and Sparky too. I can see that when I check out your weather I think - I wouldn't walk in that. Love you bigs Sis!
DeleteGood on getting Sparky "all fixed". I think your inner two year old and mine know one another! Mine sometimes wins, too. And I find out about it usually overnight! Here's wishing you a good weekend and week to come!
ReplyDeleteMe too and it that 3 in the morning thing that makes me give my two year old a talking to. Found out hubby has one of them too. Just when you think someone else must have it all together, they tell you that they don't either. Thanks for stopping by.
