Okay it is Saturday instead of Friday and I could say some really great sounding reasons why I postponed my blog a day but that would not be honest. The honest reason, I just was too lazy on Friday to even try - LOL.
So the 1st of February was good and cold and since we hadn't really gone out for a few days the car decided it wasn't going too and it wouldn't start. So, since we were bundled we headed off to walk to church but a neighbour in our building stopped and asked if we wanted a ride, I accepted, hubby would have walked but I was just fine getting a ride there.
So the next day being Groundhog day (which I only glance at since it works out the same), turns out the Groundhogs in eastern Canada say Spring is around the corner. In the west he says 6 more weeks and in the States, 6 more weeks. So I guess
we are good here and the west and the States can have their winter. Good to know - LOL.We did our errands that day once we got the car boosted and went for a bit of a drive. All through the drive we promised Sparky we would take him for a drive in the winter more often (yeah, we say that every winter - LOL)
I did do some on-line shopping and all three were a surprise that I went there. First off was Avon Canada. I saw a video about how Avon was fading and I wanted to see if that was true, turned out it had a really great on-line shopping site that delivered by Canada Post (which I like because the post office has a locker in our lobby to leave parcels) They still had a favourite product that hubby liked and of course, the Skin-So-Soft so, that was here by Tuesday after ordering last Saturday. Then I went to the Little Blue House which has my favourite nightshirts and writing pads. I couldn't find the pads any place that I use to except for a 45 minute drive away, which I didn't want to do. By Thursday a new shirt and pads arrived by Canada Post too. The last thing was a complete surprise of hubby, after many cuddle times in my Queen size bed decided he did want a twin size for his room of the same kind. I asked if he was truly sure since that was how I got this great mattress in the first place, he wasn't happy at first with it but the more time he spent with it the more he ended up liking it and so the reason for the order. When you order any mattress from Endy you can get all the bedding, including pillows ($375 worth) for free. Which is a great deal and that the company is Canadian too as well, will be here, apparently, next week. So, three completely different places that I hadn't even thought about in years. Who knew?
Wednesday we did go for a drive to Courtland and the bakery there in keeping our promise to Sparky (and ourselves) to drive a little more often. I got some bread there and a dessert, although looking at all the amazing baked goods I decided this should be a weekly drive so we don't try to get all things at once. So, with reading about bakery stuff and the like you might wonder am I doing the things that the Naturopathic doctor said... short answer... No. Not because I didn't try it all out but as I tried each thing I realized that it wasn't improving things or making me feel better. As I went back to the way hubby and I always had eaten there was an improved feeling and things went back to normal. The only thing that did make a positive change was reducing sugar as much as possible and keeping the almond milk instead of regular both easy peasy so am good with that.
Purging slowed down a bit in one of the storage closets but I am sure it will pick up once more after I get through my least favourite bins. So all in all a more productive week even got out more that I thought I would.
I liked the above one because many times I think that it is for the best - LOL.
Have a wonderful weekend and keep warm.

Our van also didn’t want to start because of the cold front we got in FL. I know the wind chill made it feel like 2C that’s coke for us 😆 Glad your body tells you what’s good for you! Sugar is the worse for the body. Keep warm and hugs :)
