Whoever said that cats don't have expressions actually never really looked at one. Honestly, how can you look at that face and not know what she is telling you.
Am going through another fight with Shopper's Drug Mart here. First one was when the person at the cash told my husband to go home and make an appointment on the computer because he (the clerk) wouldn't do it there. Also arguing that everyone, but everyone in the whole world has a computer and internet... seriously?!?!? Second fight was when I went looking to find why my prescription had not been filled to find that I no longer had one of any kind and my doctor did send the renewal a month before. After spending an hour at the counter finally they filled it, putting it back in my file and then the pharmacist who I had been arguing with tried to tell me how to take this new medication that was just filled (I have been with them for 10 years taking the one and only same pills). Now, they have lost one of the two that hubby takes. We called the doctor who sent in a renewal, who was surprised that Shopper's had not sent the request. That was Wednesday and as of yet - no prescription for hubby. We will be going there today to argue that out. Once we have all prescriptions there and filled we are going to change pharmacies because, honestly, three strikes and you are out in my book.
I am playing with a new app called Picture This
which now I know that the tree we called a tulip looking tree is actually a Saucer Magnolia and the tree we call that poofy one is a Smoketree but the one I walk by each morning is apparently sick.
So far I can use this app without paying for a subscription or anything. Yeah, there are ads and it keeps asking me to sign up but for what I want it for, I don't need to buy anything. I just want to know what some of the plants are on my morning walk are.
And it is official now that hubby and I sleep in separate rooms. Hubby took over the middle room and as of yesterday has moved his clothes as well. We have just gotten to the age that we don't sleep very well together. He is too hot, I tend to kick him in my sleep, I like it too cold in the room, he likes lots of blankets and I don't. Visiting, of course is always fine - LOL. It is funny because at this point in his life it is the very first time that he has ever had a room for himself. He has shared a room with someone for his entire life until now that he is 78. Even when he was very young there was always a relative sharing a room with him. I think he is enjoying being on his own for once.
Got to catch up with my sister this week too on Discord, which is always nice. Her household is so busy that it is hard for us to be able to get together but this was a good week for it. The repairs still go on with the hurricane damage and of course much of it is not covered by the insurance company for various excuses and then everything they do needs a permit as well. What a huge job to manage but my sister is amazing at it.
So this week I am covering the 2nd book in the
Wives of David -
'What price must she pay for true love?
Her days marked by turmoil and faded dreams, Abigail has resigned herself to a life with a man she does not love. But when circumstances offer her a second chance at happiness with the handsome David, she takes a leap of faith to join his wandering tribe. Still, her struggles are far from over. How can she share his love with the other women he insists on marrying?
Abigail follows the bestselling Michal and continues Jill Eileen Smith's rich story of David's wives.'
Customer service is now just a memory. It was sick and dying; Covid finished it off. I often wonder how some of these places stay in business.
ReplyDeleteCatching up is always a positive.
I can so relate to the last picture. Old age is no picnic.
Have a wonderful weekend! 😊
OMG, that reminds me of not that long ago when I was trying to use the technology to get a prescription refilled, and it just didn't work because somebody had the wrong fax number for the doctor! Human assistance required. And I had to do the calling around for myself to make the two of them connect. Sigh.
